FAQ
Will my clients be able to see folders that I've made for other clients?
No. Your clients will only see folders that you have permitted them access to. Your company also has the option of preventing clients from seeing other users who have access to the same folder that they do.
Is there a file size limit on uploading or sending files?
No. Files of any size may be uploaded, sent, or stored on Calcunet. Billing is based bandwidth, which is the amount of upload and download activity per month, rather than total file storage.
How does Calcunet send large files through e-mail?
Instead of attaching the file to your e-mail, you upload it to Calcunet's secure servers. Calcunet will then provide you with a hyperlink that you can send to recipients, either through Calcunet or using your own e-mail software. Recipients will be able to download the file by clicking the hyperlink.
Is Calcunet secure?
Yes. Unlike e-mail and FTP, Calcunet offers 128-bit SSL encryption to protect your files. Passwords are also hashed so that not even Calcunet support staff is able to access them. All files on Calcunet are backed up daily and hosted with best-of-breed servers and facilities.
Why do I need Calcunet? I just Email my files to employees & clients now.
Storing and sharing your files on File-Works prevents several problems common with attaching documents to E-mails. Often, attached files are too big so they download very slowly, they are kept out by the receiver's virus protection, or they shut down their system altogether. When you have several people revising and editing one document, storing the latest version on your File-Works site solves the problem of multiple versions floating around, avoiding frustrating re-work. Also, you cannot control what a receiver does with a document you send as an E-mail attachment. With File-Works you can give a user access to read a file but prevent them from changing it. |
