How it Works

The simple and effective design of the Switch On SMS by Infomatixs product range enables you to regain control of unresponsive electrical equipment without the need to attend site, or request your customer or client undertake the task for you.

Once unpacked, rack-mount the unit if applicable, insert a non pin protected SIM card* into the SIM slot, attach & position the aerial to obtain maximum GSM signal, then connect into its sockets whatever you wish to control and then connect the supplied mains lead.

After a few seconds the blue light (Signal) will become solid confirming you have sufficient signal. At this point your Switch On SMS unit is ready to go.

The Switch On SMS unit can undertake four separate tasks

• Turn on any socket or sockets by sending the device an SMS text message
• Turn off any socket or sockets by sending the device an SMS text message
• Restart any socket or sockets by sending the device an SMS text message
• Send you an SMS with current socket status**

As additional security and to prevent unauthorised use of the unit a password can be set

* SIM card should be pin/lock free and be cleared of any existing SMS text messages. Pay as You Go SIM Cards may require outgoing usage in order to maintain “live” status, please check with your provider

** The report can only be sent if the SIM is allowed by your network operator to send text messages and you have sufficient credit or suitable contract
